A mischievous little boy named Calvin
With the imagination of a giant
An agenda all his own
Compliantly defiant
With his best friend of Hobbes
A stuffed tiger Calvin believes is real
They play together
Living out adventures surreal
In Calvin’s little red wagon
They hurl down a hillside
And under his bed he’s equipped
To blast monsters with Deathicide
Or as monsters themselves
Calvin & Hobbes on the loose
Two scary creatures
Chasing down a confused goose
With Dinosaurs deafening roar
Never a more perilous day
When all of a sudden
In comes Calvin to save the day
As Mutant Snowgoons attack
Hobbes falls to his knees
Calvin takes the garden hose
“Freeze Snowgoons, Freeze”
In a cardboard box
A time machine piloted by two
To distant time and lands
Until Mom calls and to home they’re due
Oh, how I love
The imagination of a child
Reminding me of younger days
Playing outdoors and smiles
