Keep Walking

as I was out on the streets looking for the mystic garden
in the morning mist I swear I saw something move
I saw a long dark cloak drifting on the spirit of Arden
I witnessed nothing more than any blind man could prove;

was it the woman I long to touch? I cannot find her
double jeopardy here, have only got one dice to roll
but with the race now on, somewhere in this darkness
hides the deepest mind buried in the deepest hole;

keep walking. just keep on walking
you could die out here, become a number on a wall
keep walking. just keep on walking
a most delicate touch right now and watch me fall;

how many more roads are here for me to walk down?
how many more cold winds in the world still exist?
when will her long dark cloak no longer hide her features?
when will the warmth of her skin comfort my fingertips?

am on the west side of despair with just my sorrow
heading east toward the dark side of the sun
I can only guess that come this time tomorrow
I will be standing still as I watch the pavements run;

keep walking. just keep on walking
you could die down here, become a number on a wall
keep walking. just keep on walking
a most delicate touch right now and watch me fall;

there is nothing in the world stronger than redemption
there Is nothing in the world greater than the human heart
but the roads I\'ve walked, I\'ve walked with no conviction
how deep must be my wounds before the healing starts?

keep walking. just keep on walking
you could die down here, become a number on a wall
keep walking. just keep on walking
a most delicate touch right now and watch me fall;
