Sunbeams flood into my room
like a tide on the rise creeping in.
Woe betide me be, wet or dry, warm or cold, enlightened or beam blighted.
Dawn bears beams of revelations, comings and goings, flotsam and jetsam.
Behold sea, what betides in these seeps you ooze in?
Seconds or first, ticks or crosses, daze lost, or minutes expanded to notes?
Wins or losses, deposits or payments, credit or bills,
be tad older, but deeper in debt.
Will forget-me-knots bloom, rose petals fall off, buds pop-open or dead-heads drop?
Who will call by, drop in, blow-in, come in,
arrive on the door step and knock.
Who be shown the door, slammed out with good riddance to boot?
What will the postie bring in, or inbox spew up,
in entrails of emails and spam slop?
Will you step up, step forward, take two steps back,
make progress, falter, or stumble and fall?
Will your dreams be realized, shattered, come true,
be recalled, befallen, or be deluded and made splat?
Whatever befalls,
Whatever this day brings,
You can\'t stop progress!
