I’ve lived my life
In love with you
Though I never expected
Love returned from you
To begin with
This love took me by surprise
It towered above me
As I looked into your eyes
With your unique smile
You wrote your name in my heart
And there it would stay
Always the deepest part
In years since you left
I treasure Cupid’s arrow
Enshrined within my heart
Thriving in love’s shadow
