Lelae

Gone

I whispered your name in the wind, with the hope that the gusty winds would carry it to your right ear coz I know that\'s your good hearing ear.

I visited all the places I knew i could find you when your Mama couldn\'t. The dusty football pitch, where you allowed your feet to dance to the cheers of those watching you.

Under the mulberry tree where you suddenly became an artist, plain paper on the ground, mulberry squashed in between your little sloppy fingers.

Imma be honest, you  weren\'t gifted in that department, but your paintings are still hung up on my wall.

I went back to your favorite restaurant and ordered your coffee flavored ice cream

Yes i didn\'t like it then, but I like it now, coz every mouthful that I take reminds me of the sound you\'d make with your tounge after eating it. But right now I don\'t even taste that coffee, all i tas†e is the bitterness of my broken heart now that you gone.

I look at my phone and I just hope I see your name on the Caller ID, asking me, \"How the hell did you go to our favorite place without me!?\"
