Saxon Crow

Jigsaw

As I reconstruct the pieces of my jigsaw life
I notice the man that I\'m creating has this knowing smile
The eyes that are watching have an appraising look
While the way that he is standing is confident and strong
Although there is some grey he still has his hair
And the belly that he has was once not there
But it\'s that look in his eyes he\'s got which interests me
And I\'ll only get the answer once the jigsaw\'s complete
So I\'m patiently searching for the pieces that I\'d lost
And finding my enjoyment at the ones I come across
But now I understand as the jigsaw comes together
I\'m looking in the eyes of a knowing fellow
Because the edges may be rough and the picture not so smooth
But there\'s a confidence growing there of someone who has learnt
So this jigsaw man and his jigsaw world
Are fitting together nicely like a jigsaw should
And when the last piece is found and lovingly placed
I\'ll find myself complete and in a contented state
I may even frame it!
