Murderers Lament

Tread I this bitter forbidden path
With branches tearing away the past
Walk on and look back no more
For darkness follows like deaths claw
And fear my only comforting friend
In this blackened forest with no end
The wind it murmurs through the leaves
Renouncing all good memory
And wherever my trudging foot does land
I feel the echoes of fates rough hand.
Beguiled I am for curiosity sake
Doomed to follow this path I take
And never shall I return again
To the light of freedom and a happy land
For the forest is within my mind
No peace in here I shall ever find
And madness is my truest north
A compass for my unabsolved soul
Deserved these woes I heavily carry
My burden alone to do nought but tarry
And so this journey will forever be
One of abject misery
And wherever this body finds itself
This mind of mine will burn in hell
For murder I did commit in sin
And heaven will never let me in
Forgiveness shall never be given
What once was life I had taken
So heed this lament from an evil man
Follow God\'s law as best you can
To kill and steal a life away
Means two murders took place that day
The death of innocence and the death of your soul
One gone to heaven one waiting for hell
And so i tread this forbidden path
With branches tearing away the past
And all that\'s left and will ever be
Is a murderers lament chained and unfreed
