Into the cinema I went,
Found my seat and waited.
There on the screen the stage was set,
A young lady stood there,
More joined her
And the opera started.
The music sailed around me
As the lady sang with her glorious voice
The others joined,
All was well.
The man in love with her
Crept on the stage
And sang that wonderful song.
As the opera went on
I was becoming drawn in
Until it was completely within me.
I was lost in the music,
Time just flew.
Suddenly it was the end.
I came out of my revery
Not knowing where the time had gone,
Over two hours lost in my life,
But so much time enjoyed,
Very much enjoyed
As I seemed to become part,
Part of La Traviata.
