Waking up in the emergency room

I had overdosed and I didn\'t know it

I was so lost
Lost and afraid

I had given up on myself
Here I was trying so hard
yet my hardest wasn\'t hard enough

Had a roof over my head but no where to go
a boyfriend who left me
Scared and alone
Family and friends worried
They didn\'t know where I was
I got the nurse to call my mom
Scared and alone
He told her I was gone
but I came back
Scared and alone
I\'ll never forget that day
I can see myself above the ambulance
I went out of my body
Wasn\'t sure why I had to come back
but I\'m glad I did because of my kids
They are why I\'m here
