A switchback blade
and a drip of honey
Coated behind
every word left unsaid
Your eyes sit,
red like crystals
Suffocated from sunset clouds and
my breath,
then blown on the ocean
Two blue bruises on your arm sweat
and the bottle in ur left hand rises
as it drips from your mouth like honey
Four words you’ve never heard
and my rose petal lips shutter
as you wilt under me
I feel the cold bottle glass on my skin
as you wrap those arms around my legs
You scream stay
I stand
Rather tree trunk like,
unmoving
While those ruby eyes of yours
shatter
as I walk away
