I walk forward in this hall
I utter no sound as I face a wall
I hear people speaking amongst themselves, all to tell
But they don\'t see me all that well
They hear my meager whispers in their ears
But it\'s like they\'ve heard their greatest fears
My footsteps are too loud they claim
And I am the one who is to blame
Eggshells scatter all around
As I am walking on this ground
They see my tears and will rejoice
At such a broken-sounding voice
If I stepped towards you
Would you tell me to shoo?
Or would you come and take my hand
And lead me to a promised land?
No matter how much dirt I collect
No matter how much scars you have checked
I will keep on walking tall
With my weak footsteps down this hall
