Earthly Remains

Here we leave no temple unmask

No other sacrifice laid on the alter

Can replace the ones we have lost,

With no state of despair to falter.

Here, we gather, and leave in a frame

The treasures of our earthly remains.

With the visage that time has claim

Resolute in sorrows of perpetual pains.

The beauty of their lives now shares

The silhouette of a heavenly rainbow.

Folding deeper into the atmosphere

death cherishes the legacies we owe.

When sunset took the victors choice

In youthful days they go by silent surprise.
