No more do we doff our caps
And bow our heads low
As the final journey of some unknown
Passes by in mournful slumber
That last destination for all our number
No more do we stand in respectful grace
As the coffin goes by in its reverend state
As the few who feel the loss the most
Enter our thoughts and prayers for one moment
We\'ve lost our way in this busy world
Forgetting that we aren\'t here for very long
Rushing about to and fro
Avoiding the only place we will inevitably go.
Until one day as we are drawn along
Do we notice that eyes do not look upon
A casket full of memories and dreams
Fading away with each passing step
And all that\'s left and will ever be
Is a finite life of \'what was meant to be?\'
