My mind beats, & My heart thinks,
but my soul dwindles without you,
it’s like a sea of sand & not a crumb of water,
or a horizon of ocean & not a drop of land,
my mind & body open when I sense your name,
each time I hear your spirit,
your soul resonates with my own,
my mind beats to the rhythm of your essence,
as my heart thinks of all the love that you hold,
my soul welcomes you in its embrace,
to keep you safe and warm,
my mind holds you in my heart,
my heart holds you in my mind,
but my soul holds you closest of all.
