Fall\'s Song

Outside I\'ll rake,
A moment I\'ll take,
Look at the trees,
Feel the cool breeze.
Leaves float though the air,
They fall without a care.
On the ground they pile,
But still I\'ll smile.
My work soon to be done,
Then, with the fading sun,
Friends I\'ll happily meet,
It\'ll be a treat!
A fall festival we\'ll go,
There will be a show!
Livestock, auctions, and a race,
Keeps us on an active pace.
In the morning I\'ll jog,
Race through the fog.
It\'s winter\'s chill I fear,
So I\'ll keep fall near.
Fall, warmth\'s last gasp,
Please, don\'t leave my grasp!
Soon, winter will play,
And inside I shall stay.
