Oh it’s Politics on a Breakfast Show -
Sometimes good company with toast and tea:
A talkback comment on the radio
Has colonised my head and won’t leave me.
I have this earworm when a Pollie speaks;
Funny, a distraction but tiresome too,
Though a pearl among political critiques.
It’s stuck there, and there’s nothing I can do:
“This arvo I’m going to set my hair on fire and put it out with a hammer”
I’m thankful other topics are the show,
But the image remains at any rate:
