The Size Of Forever

You are the ray of light in a dark world

My breath of air

Taken as if for the first time

Taste of kiss so sweet as sugar

The celestial canopy of night

Unveiling unlimited worlds and stars.

Your soft skin of satin, silk and velvet

A purring cat beneath

My outstretched hand stroking you

Somehow you breached

My quiet shyness

And inspired me to touch who you are.

The nights seem so less lonely now

Because your company

Keeps opening gifts every moment

Ordinary days disappear

In favor of your eyes, hands and voice

Making miracles, melody and magic.

You are the timepiece standing still

Inside my fragile palms

Helping me see how precious life is

You are the music of falling water

Soothing my soul so serenely

Instead of sleeping I dream.

The amazing thing is you found me

Not the other way around

Because I gave up when I was lost.

Never in a million years

Does a man find such treasure

As I have in you in my arms.

So here we are, born as two beings

Whose time is now as one

To share this amazing trip together

I can hardly remember

Being so happy or sharing such memories

The size of forever with you.
