The Mountain and The Tree

It\'s  cold and it\'s bleak and the snow on its peak isn\'t pisted and flattened for fun.
This mountain is cruel, it\'s nobody\'s fool and its clouds put a curse on the sun.

Its hard rocky face wants no tender embrace ice gullies are tears that have frozen.
It will not forgive, nor live and let live but will hurt whoever is chosen.

But the tree that looks down has no time for a frown, it welcomes the snow on its branches.
It smiles a white grin, with soft breath within and dreams of swaying and dances.

Now this Christmas day would you rather sway, or turn your face to the cold.
Let\'s live and let live and even forgive, for soon we shall all be too old.

The ones who we know are not ice and snow but people like us who can care.
Let\'s give them our love like the sun from above and be happy we\'re able to share
