Tainted Nostalgia

Everything has changed but all is the same,
Just this time without you.
Goals have changed from wanting fame
To not to feel so blue.

Slept to try and hide from life
Though restless nights now plague me,
Dreams lift me from my strife
But I remember them so vaguely.

Apathy to the world around me
You keep on passing me by:
Affection resides by sea
Where we flourished in a lie.

Truthfully it is not you to blame
Nothing has changed, but nothing is the same.
