They ask me how I’m doing.
If I said “Okay”, would you believe me?
Honestly, I wouldn’t believe me either.
If I say I’m “Okay” enough, maybe it will come true.
This past year has brought me trials most people don’t have to go through.
Sometimes I wish it weren’t me, but I wouldn’t wish this upon my worst enemy.
Sometimes it’s all too much to bear.
Sometimes just saying I’m “Okay” is easier than facing it.
Eventually the burdens brought upon me will be further away.
And someday I will indeed be “Okay”.
