Old Man

Old man

Dream.

Lives lived.

Recount tales. Adventures.

Wide young eyes listen, mouths agape.

Glories of years gone by.

Gray hair tells of years and miles.

Wrinkled skin tells of work. So much work.

But the eyes tell of work yet to be finished.

They look at the horizon,

And see dreams yet to come.

Hands softly hold the young,

Gentleness learned from life\'s coarseness.

Teaching the young

What it means to be a man.
