At the beach I love to sit
and watch with silence
as the waves sweep across the ocean
and back to the shore
and listen to the messages
they carry across
I love to watch
as they carry remains
onshore and in to the ocean
I love to feel the sand beneath my feet
and the water brush against my skin
the awe and marvel in it
warms my heart
makes me reminisce
