I took to black culture, cause there was no dad for me/
Everyday he got more colder, Tupac used to rap for me
Had me feeling like a soldierrr, was something I could be/
I used to pray to Jehovah, hoping he\'d get back to me
My family hate me bad, I think they have it in for me/
Yet I\'m very good at rap, so I don\'t need your sympathy
I\'m supposed to be a dad, but my child I do not see/
I reach for a pen & pad, so I can smile through the misery
Thinking what they did to me, & what they did was wrong/
They had me sent to prison, for the lyrics in my songs
I never had a daddy, and I never had a mum/
I\'ve never had a home, nor a place that I belong
Plagued by my demons, I had no strength to carry on/
Until that fateful night, when I first heard that Tupac song
Now when I write it\'s like, I\'m writing with his ghost/
And who I am to deny, when it\'s him I rate the most.
