i was a star until i shined and could see
straight through my skin and then
i ripped off all my clothes
and i spit out all my organs
i bled blue blood in deep space
all folded up and bent outta shape
tight and twisted i’d fit in a briefcase
i’m a vacuum gonna consume and outpace every dwarf star
i’m like a black hole ready to bloom
my face in every room
up above the mantle
i’m ubiquitous but it’s not substantial
so the suit of skin that i wear,
scarred and stained,
it was hard to be pained but
still i’m sending back the suit
and they will not be paid.
