The End of the World

All in the hope of newness,
My day begins in dire straits

Propaganda fills the airwaves,
With delusion carried in the wind

Ire streets are combed senseless,
With an uneasy feeling mired at every turn,

Angst coming home, I take my shoes off
And turn the tv on, as news fills the house with dread

The news headliners say
The end is nigh, and the world grips with fear

And here it is,
The doomsday clock strikes midnight, with anxious dreams sailing off

Dark clouds obscure over me, as the world caves in
Heralding the harbinger of doom

Creeping up on extinction, hearts begin to fail
As the world begins to burn, O’ the world is ending and I’m feeling fine

For I shall rise above the lies and be set free

Lost autonomies taken from a stark madness,
Harvesting jab and mask mandates to keep us in the dark

Promises fading, trading liberties for false securities,
As the New World Order treads constitutions underfoot

Cleaving on deserted statues that draw a blank stare,
While the world mourns the ashes from freedoms laid bare

Rumors of war and disease run rampant as confusion wails throughout the night,
for the media stymies truth from a blight of hope

Unceasingly waking to an apocalyptic siren,
As the world caves in, O’ the world is ending and I’m feeling fine

I won\'t comply to tyranny, for I shall rise above the lies and be set free

Endless narratives set the stage on fire,
And here is our final night alive as the world is ending and I’m feeling fine
