It’s time is past I’m happy to say;
Chewing gum was the scourge of an age:-
Found it stuck when I walked just yesterday -
Remove now! I have no wish to engage.
Acetone nail polish remover
Or peanut butter – oh what a waste;
Neither a very quick maneuver
When a clean shoe sole is required post-haste.
A time when chewing gum stuck to my shoe;
But today more likely its doggy doo…..
