In this one, solitary day
I celebrate
history’s heroines
modernity’s champions
and those, who blessed my life
with their wisdom
of empathy, hilarity, sensuality
gentleness, intelligence and grace
I make a wish, light
a sincere heart’s
candle of hope, share
in their dream of equal, status
in all things!
Choosing, to believe
it will become a deserved, reality
for every lady
till then, I will do my best
even
if I can’t be of much help
I can
certainly strive, to never
be a hindrance!
That’s what March 8th’s
promise, represents to me.
