Remove the mask

for what reason?

shielding ourselves?

ashamed of what we have become?

afraid of who we really are?

 

Strip back the bravado, 

The ego, the material things,

We are all made the same, 

We all hurt, love, laugh & cry,

But in reality, we are all unique

 

Our journeys are unpredictable, 

Our destiny is never cemented,

We learn, we change, we grow,

Evolution never ends.

 

At some point we all search for answers,

Do we ever find them?

Why not just live in the moment?

Tomorrow may never come, yesterday has been & gone,

Essentially, all we have is the here and now, embrace it.
