Evergreen Days Re-Versed

I listen to the Oregon trees

Speaking in green tales,

Whispering memories,

Trails blazed with yesterdays,

Chorus of leaves,

Trunks with wrinkled grooves

Imitating roads

Left by wagon wheels

Yearning for new life.

Fresh emerald revivals,

Stroked by light and rain,

Echo with repeating fractals,

Embracing the endless sky

While invisible arms

Grow strong and deep

Taking root in virgin soil.

Across the Oregon landscape

I replant my story

While verdant integrations

Paint a scenery of discovery,

Redecorating my atmosphere

For renewing rains to fall.

In viridescent dreams,

Nature and redemption

Marries you and me.

We combine together

Complimentary creations

Making our own tree,

United, branching outward,

Growing in constant devotion.

We compose our new forever,

Evergreen days re-versed.
