As I silently ponder on why chaos, war and insecurities increasingly take their toll across the globe,
More harm is been done with no hope of restoring perfect peace that is prerequisite to our survival,
Even as great and small nations of the world continually rise in peace and fall in pieces,
Much hasn’t been done to salvage deadly situations that ignites this panacea called “war” which turns fame to shame,
Making it impossible for the helpless masses to discover the peace within and reciprocate the beauty of tranquillity.
Make Love, Not War!
The struggle for absolute power and utmost supremacy among countries of the world is a major cause,
Parents and children of this generation engaging in tussle of power which disrupts the love and harmony in the family is a potential cause,
The inability of man to forgive, endure and tolerate the indifference of his brother from another mother is a perfect threat to peaceful co-existence,
What then do we have to say about greed, envy and hatred? The basic components that invokes disunity in diversity and eruption of war at large.
Make Love, Not War!!
Development and progress in the society becomes untold blur memories that are painful to reminisce,
Universal conventions and summits for peace treaties are now turned into media for dialogue and war negotiations,
The harmony and unity in diversity inherent in our families and nation will then be referred to as ‘Once upon a time’,
Lives of our loved ones and properties worth a whole lot of fortune are irreversibly lost to the world beyond,
The faithful of faithfuls are lost in wonder of the imminent hardship; struggle to survive which has befallen the universe,
All thanks to the bitter fruits of war which are unbearable to savour.
Make Love, Not War!!!
Let’s join hands together to salvage this menacing situation eating deep into the very fabrics of our lives and society,
Accepting better views and idea from people we meet, tolerating their indifference and forgiving their imperfections,
Being a beacon of light and hope to our families and nation a symbol of peace and harmony anywhere we find ourselves,
Forfeiting the lust for absolute power, envy for another and greed in all ramifications,
And transcending to ambassadors of love to foster the long-sought peace, love and unity essential for a better tomorrow.
Love is the greatest representative of strength; and not war.
