On Such Day

On such day of sundry memories
When the sky\'s in all its colours best
And the moon, its yellow glow gees
With yearning earth; its fervour-fest
For colours howbeit the morning dews.
When the trees, calm, overlook the ocean
And the horizon beyond reveals the news
Of earth and clouds in coupledom uncloven.
Yellow-scarfed flowers covering shy ground
And the rest of earth in blended mirth.
Such once was a dainty day crowned
With heaven - earth colours heralding a birth.
The birth of a queen and Queen so named.
Yours are colourful blessings, yours forever famed
