May You Await Me on the Moon?

Our bond sprouted from the depths

Of the clean nothingness.

The hollow chamber that had been my home

Was filled with rubies and chandelier lights.

A golden chord had strung you and I

Together, and provided me with life.

Our breaths were one and it was soon time

To exit my temporary abode.

I was greeted by the opening gateway

Which introduced me to the illuminance.

Yet the years that’d pass proved to be

The real heat that was destined.

That golden chord snapped in a cacophonous

Vibration. And you remained roaming through the stars

Unaware of your consciousness.

All I expect is a waving flag on the moon –

And a golden heart strumming –

That’ll signal you’ve always awaited –

My eventual homecoming.
