Three Letters,
The Onset or Expletive,
The Cause, Reason, or Purpose
The For or Because,
The Surprise or Hesitation,
Well, it held hardly any meaning.
Not knowing what I wanted
To ask; Sooner or Later,
Not knowing what I meant.
Even if I didn\'t know,
What I want or mean,
I chose one Word.
Cause the gray matter,
Demanded answers to
A thousand questions;
That very second.
But rather than asking,
All these questions,
I picked to ask for One Word,
With only three letters.
Because that One Word,
Owned all my questions,
It clutched the ache that I felt.
It gripped the rejection,
It captured hope and rage.
It embraced everything.
And
Can someone tell me?
Why am I even drafting this?
