Incorruptibility and Immortality

Tune: Judas Maccabaeus

(\'Thine be the glory\')

1 Corinthians 15 v.51-58

**********

Behold, a mystery, we shall not all sleep

In death, but shall be changed, the Lord shall us keep

At the last trumpet\'s sound, twinkling of an eye

We shall be raised with Christ, hence no more to die

Chorus

In a moment, in twinkling of an eye

At last trumpet we shall be changed, no more die

The dead shall be raised incorruptible

We shall be changed unto beings immortal

For this corruptible state it must put on

The incorruption of Jesus, God\'s own Son - Chorus

And mortal must its immortality

Put on, then death be swallowed in victory

Then comes fully true, O death, where is your sting?

O grave, where your victory? Let praises ring - Chorus

The sting of death is sin, and strength of sin

Is the law, we have not kept all that therein

But thanks be to God, who gives us victory

Through our Lord Jesus Christ, ever shall it be - Chorus

Therefore, beloved, be steadfast, unmoving

Always in the work of the Lord abounding

Forasmuch as you know your labour not be

In vain, but in all things you serve the Lord, see - Chorus
