I\'ve lived in the woods for as long as I can remember.
A sanctuary of bushes and berries.
There was a sound coming from far away that the wind would carry.
I always wondered what they say.
There is something I must ask, if I may.
Why do the willows weep?
Was there something they wished to seek?
From far beyond a barrier of green;
Were there things for us to see?
The song of wallows would fill the night.
Its glow was a blinding sight.
Begging me to walk down a path;
A way that would never let me come back.
The willows sang of change and growth
It was out there beyond the grove.
Was I ready for this change?
If I went, I’ll never be the same.
With one step I felt strange;
Still the willows sang.
It\'s been a while since I walked out.
Each step came with new doubt.
Dose it matter what creeps?
For now, I know why the willows weep.
