We face scrutiny
For we care for you
Jesus has shown us love and forgiveness
How can we not share this with others?
I know some people do not understand this
We were not born Christians
We had to accept him as Lord
I remember not understanding these opening words
Before I came to Jesus
True strength
Is not in violence and anger
it is love and forgiving those in our past
Who hurt us
I hope anyone reading this who does not understand
Will give Jesus and honest chance
To change their hearts and lives
One day you may even be writing somewhere
