the new messiahs pouting
disciples all are shouting
on their lethal outing
propaganda spinning
nobody is winning
everybodys sinning
and its just the second inning
streets are full of fascists
terrorists with matches
plan a or b hatches
doors without latches
republican obsession
voter repression
come and take a gander
see them gerrymander
pride first
and then the fall
but the worst
is losing all
many lying
many dying
stop your sighing
no ones trying
saving days
saving hours
cant see nothing
from the towers
cant see minutes
for the trees
cant see what
the other sees
deja vu coming fast
false is true
whats true wont last
destination distant past
stage is set
and yet no cast
oligarchs set to rule
anyone they can fool
within the borders
of the nation
never is there
preparation
no more trust
just separation
only act
in desperation
see the final chapter
whatever you are after
take a break from everything
introduce the queen and king
to those left in the waiting room
knowing theyre creating doom
for those who have been vilified
the ones remaining will have died
the judge has left the empty court
the soldiers fill the empty fort
rome is falling every day
democracy gets in the way
of those entrusted to be leaders
sycophants and bottom feeders
never happy with their portion
feed the rich and ban abortion
tax the poor take more and more
steal the rest and close the door
