Mercurial River

The colorful birds chirping

Sweet and high-pitched chirps,

As the calming waters of the river flow

Colliding with the rocks and stones in the water.

The fish in the river swim happily

As the waterfall engulfs the river with more water.

The downpour of the water makes a loud scream,

Shoving the water currently in the river forward ahead.

The squirrels admire the flowing stream from a distance,

Sitting comfortably on their tree branch home

Covered by the shamrock green Ovate tree leaves.

Suddenly

chaos unfolds,

The fish in the river squall while they swim swiftly

To the end of the river,

and into the entrance to the lake

The clouds start to fade from a bright white cotton candy shape,

To a dark and gloomy color.

The water starts to shift from calm and lukewarm,

To quick and rapid cold currents.

A vigorous bang occurs,

The force of the water throws the rocks off the dirt ground

The thunder slams,

Rain s u r g e s down firmly,

Shaking the tree leaves,

And bothering the content squirrels.

The wind howls,

Giving off a sign to RUN,

The mayhem didn’t end yet,

It was only the beginning.
