Dopamine and Serotonin
met underneath the cherry tree.
They always met so far away.
Sadness took their place,
but I can\'t even have that anymore.
They come back just in time
for the sadness to drop me.
Pushed over the edge,
forced to fly away.
I left the sadness behind,
but did I really have to?
Without it,
Dopamine and Serotonin
no longer have meaning.
What is a world without its troubles?
Everything will come back,
but not without these.
I can\'t go back, yet even now,
I miss emotions,
good and bad.
I came back for the sadness,
and I learned one thing.
Sadness pushes you over the edge,
teaching you to fly.
