O Lord my God, do not be far
From me, my guiding sun and star
My God, have regard to help me
Companion constant to me be
I have many thoughts and great fears
Afflicting my soul, and flow tears
How will I unhurt through them pass
Except I troubles on you cast?
How will I break them to pieces?
In this I rest, hope releases
My only one consolation
Flee to you [in] each tribulation
To trust in you, to call on you
From my inmost heart, this I do
