The Park

The Park

I know your meandering roads
and wooded paths.
You have wrapped me
in the splendor of every season.
You are the pit for my sorrow,
the cradle of my dreams,
the bosom, to lay my secrets.
In your silence,
I hear many songs of life
and death’s impetuous whispers.
Though my stride has slowed,
Still our souls are wed
as I walk the aisle of survival.
