Grandma

As time went by she began to fade, like her roses withered in the fall.

But a heart that pure is not wavered, by things a mind can not recall.

Forgot your name on the bad days, and a few holidays she had to miss.

But never a hug that meant the world, she never left without a kiss.

She forgot where you lived, forgot your age, forgot to knock from time to time.

But never forgot to straighten up, never missed a penny, not a dime.

I can almost hear her now in heaven, saying lord I\'ve a few.

That i must watch over now, with her eyes perfect and new.

And she whispers from the wings of angels, smiling down from up above.

Saying remember Im always with you, and never forget the love.
