Englishmen took all the wealth
Of the commonwealth
Kept most of it in London city
Which became most pretty
Every citizen of the commonwealth desire
A day or two in the London city
But it is a pity
To travel leisurely there you need a big kitty
From some hilly corner of the defunct empire
Once a little girl aspire
To visit all the landmarks and square
Of this great city
When she got off the plane
She saw the London rain
A city sparkling in every rain drop
You see in road water every building Top
Her room was above the lost poet pub
Whole night drunk poets made lots of noise to disturb
Next morning off she went to poetery house
Met only a poet with Alzheimer and his old spouse
She took English breakfast near Victoria park
Then Joined the poetry session in the park
The Poem she liked was about feelings
Poet said he has removed ceiling from feeling
Some kid poet from the park took her to Keats house
White building shining like a light house
She bought a London sketch book
And for going British gallery a black cab she took
At gallery she got a book on new India office
Saw old records with East India record curator Ms. Makepeace
She also read handwritten poem by Coleridge
Got tired off books and went to London bridge
After bridge she went to bank of river Thames
River was quietly flowing like someone engulfed by city flames
She then took a tube train
Every traveller was scratching their brain
Last trip was to London eye and big ben
She was fed up with London at Buckingham
Flew to home safe and sound
Only thing she liked was British pound
Back to hills of central India
Away from a city so renowned
You don’t need dollars and pound
If you like monsoon rain sound
