He sat there and listened,
Listened to the songs,
The songs he had written,
Written with his brother.
It was so wonderful to hear her,
Hear her sing their songs.
Ella sang them so very well
And he was astounded.
He turned to me and said,
Said these words.
“I never knew that our songs were so good,
Never knew they were so good
Until Ella sang them.”
