Citylights.

The lights of the city are a clear reminder

Of the plague of mankind, the great divider.

Yet, of course, there is a certain beauty to them

Like the twinkling stars or a sparkling gem.

Illuminating the concrete jungles so many call home

They light up the streets that each of us roam.

They light up our houses, workplaces and bars

yet it\'s their very light that blocks out the stars.

Though but an unintended consequence of our man-made grid,

It\'s nothing more than ignorant to deny the wonders that they rid.

Yet they grow uncontained and ever-expanding.

If left unchecked they may spiral into a crash landing.

Still, they aren\'t going anywhere anytime soon.

They\'ll always be there, shining with the moon.
