Inbringing

Inbringing.

Then bends the sun

equinox driven sets sphere lower

high-rises.

Shrinks then inbringing,

autumnly thinned  by outdone

long daylight.

Then falls the fruit

thriftily gathered before winter\'s

finger bites.

Stands then the haystack

sheaved after scything to stay

watertight.

Then hang the hands,

busyness stilled and readied

for respite.

Sleeps then the reaper

diligence beaten by hard toil\'s

strict timing.

Then eases strain,

weary forgotten keeps harvest

within sight.

Praise then the labour

when facing crude reaping of

food ripened.
