A.B. Jakobsen

Where ashes lie

You were my closest friend and pitied family

But alas the cosmos has beckoned your return

And your dreams expelled upon its boundless waves

But I hope that we can meet again in some other form

Where pandemonic howls do not come hither

In betwixt the merciful glimmers in the waters of Eridanus

Inside kingly lit chambers in regal Asia

Entangled in scintillating cosmic swirls

With spectral flight amidst pillars of solar dust

Within the verdant thickets of New England

Betwixt the inked letters by the authors of yore

As flakes of snow thro alien blizzards

At the spacely cusp of everything that was and everything to be

Thro your stupendous travels

Unearthing all in deep heaving aethers

And only in dream can tell of tales

Would you honor me as your solemn audience?

Be in life my cosmic messenger

And in death my ghostly shepherd!
