tired eyes
the brain is numb
the bit of nicotine,
settles on my tongue
who else can see me,
but the moon
illuminating what I thought I knew
what I saw through my cold view
amber breath,
ember sparks
all their brains are numb
Don’t look don’t see
with lights flickering,
and whirling breath
wakes their minds and hearts
to be set free,
finally.
