It\'s another day of staring at a blank page
It\'s another day of no happiness, sadness, or rage
It\'s another day within this beautiful cage
Whatever I write, I want to speak
But it\'s another day of feeling meek
And if you focus, you can hear my heart creak
Just before it breaks with a heartbeat
Watching them treat me like a lump of meat
You sympathize from the house across the street
But like every day,
You turn away,
As I try and fail to keep the tears at bay
When they come back to kick me around
I keep on making pleading sounds
As they remind me, again and again,
That forever to this cage, I am bound.
