You, O Lord, are a shield round me
And you lift up my head, so be
When I am downcast, Help I see
From you, who my true glory be
Salvation to the Lord belongs
Let us now praise Him with our sings
His blessing is on His people
They who believe and hear His call
Stand in awe, and sin not, commune
With your own heart on your bed, soon
You shall again His presence sense
Be still and His strength take up thence
Let all those that put their trust in
The Lord rejoice, e\'en from within
Because He defends them too let
They that love His name rejoice yet
For the Lord will bless the righteous
And be favourable to us
His favour as a shield surrounds
